Cheers for the post I ordered some from Amazon 👌 Have you got your levers yet? What do you think of them if you have?

V-Trec make some really good levers, I have the VX series on mine with the screw adjuster and they look and feel great to me and no problems with the cruise control. www.v-trec.com/en/

They look really good, but, being shorter, do they not increase the lever effort required for braking? Not a strong point of the MT-10 to begin with.

A change of pads cures that, i use EBC Extreme Performance HH and they are better even in this weather, get a bit of heat in them and they're excellent. The normal HH would probably have been a better choice for the road.

I've got some Brembos waiting to fit - gonna wait for the worst of the winter to go first though, I don't like bedding-in/learning the feel of new pads in poor conditions - saying that, does it really matter now I have ABS? Probably not!

Probably not! Get the original (awful front) brake pads out and replaced as soon as possible. EBC or Brembo Road or Fast Road all big improvement over the stock pads. Bedding in will happen summer or winter weather. Yup ABS may take reduce your criticalness of getting them bedded in concern. I’d rather have slighty bedded-in Good pads as opposed to fully bedded-in Bad pads.

Dunno what it is with Yamaha stock pads - had the same issue with my R1, they were just too soft and had no bite. I've got the Brembo fast road pads if I remember rightly.
