Hi All, I've just ordered an MT10 tourer . Now we get a lot of rain on the west coast of Scotland so I have a couple of questions. First, how good are the OE tyres in the wet? I've got a 1250GS on Michelin PR4s and its totally planted, that's my yardstick. Second, how wet will my back get? I've read some not very encouraging stuff about getting a wet back. Look forward to hearing from "youz" Cheers, ibby.

Welcome to the Forum, there are plenty MT10's in Scotland, another one wont do any harm. I use Avon 3d tyres and they have been fine for me any time i have been out in the wet, my back has not really been wet, but a topbox helps there. Where on the West Coast are you, i am in West central

Used to live in Lanark. Worked at General Motors. That was a while ago mind you.

Well you will know the area well then. Fingers crossed all this wind and rain disappears soon so we can get the 10's out and feel the adrenaline when the throttle is cracked open

Good idea - I'm up for that.

Standard tyres surprisingly ok in wet, though PR4 on a less wicked GS could be used as on a shallow lake, but with TC3 switched on you’ll be fine and love the MT. Mine has rear carrier and ok wet back wise. Enjoy awesome machine.

Glasgow guy here myself. OE tyres are not too bad however I did notice a huge improvement when I eventually stuck some S21s on, which was around 2800 miles. Bikes done just over 4k now.
Oh and welcome to the forum 👍

Oh and welcome to the forum 👍 Yep, S21 better than S20. Michelin Power RS better than S21 and suit the character of the Bike.
