I have had my MT10 for over a year now, but unfortunately a close encounter has rendered it inoperative, l really like the bike, it still gives me the shivers when l give it some stick, I'm quiet an oldy really for doing silly things on bikes, but when are you meant to grow up,l definitely do not intend to grow up just yet, if l start going slow, there's no point riding!!!! I have joined the forum because of having to rebuild my bike, everything so far has been a joy to do on the bike, albeit fiddly, even changing the spark plugs was easy, time consuming yes, but no more difficult than many sport bikes, l have put a post about the engine casing that covers the clutch, l hope someone can shed some light as to how to correctly fit this part, as it is fighting me!!!!

Try any R1 forum or R1, as it is the same, on YouTube about the clutch cover.

Cracked it, l tried for 1/2 hour or so and it didn't make sense, l thought the rod would have to be meshed fully in the casing, having watched a R1 video where he too was struggling, it kind of hooks onto one tooth or so and away it goes, you also have to get the orientation of the clutch arm correct as well or your clutch will either be too heavy or sloppy or just right. Nearly ready to fire the beast up again and smoke that back tyre.

Thanks, l did and it sort of made sense, only sort of, the most important bit was missing on the YouTube video, but it pointed me in the right direction!!! It will be alive tomorrow, fingers crossed, it is all going together fairly easily now.
