I had my MT10 SP's 12v power outlet fuse snap off, so I changed it from 2 to 10 amp, now here is the question. Is it safe for the bike circuit and ECU or should I reduce it to the OEM fuse?

I've no idea but I'll be interested as I would like to run my heated jacket through the socket.
I think the jacket and gloves are just under 10 amps.

Yeah it is just under 10 as it runs through a 10 amp fuse on my other bike.

Looking at the wiring diagram from the manual: There's a brown with twin red stripes wire that runs from the ignition switch This wire feeds both the hazard warning lights (7.5Amps) and the Aux Socket (2Amps) So in theory that part of the ignition switch, circuit, and fuse feed wire should be able to take 9.5Amps. Although that doesn't mean that the Aux socket, its plug, and its wiring could take those 9.5Amps over extended periods of time. The other wire from the switch, brown with twin blue stripes, supplies various circuits with a total of 40 Amps, Ignition fuse 15A, indicators 7.5A, ABS ECU 7.5A, and the headlight at 10A. The wiring diagram doesn't state what wire gauges are used for each of the wires to see what their maximum rating are. Fuses are generally there to protect the circuit from overheating and burning so I'd say it's not without some risk trying to run 10Amps through the socket, though I would imagine the most likely point of failure would be the plug where the Aux Socket is plugged into the loom, or its wires, and not something more serious like frying the ECU though I cannot say for 100% because it's too damn complicated. Try it at your own risk.
