Hi there
I’m thinking of investing in a Satnav for the MT10. Has anyone got any recommendations?
Also I’d like the mount to be as neat as possible, so any recommendations for the mount would also be gratefully received.
Cheers
Richie

I use a Tom Tom Rider 550. It comes with a RAM mount that fits on the handlebars and is hardwired into the battery. Used to have older versions off Tom Tom rider and found them easy to use, but when I brought a BMW GS Adventure I brought their sat nav 5 which is made by Garmin. I find the Tom Tom a lot easier to use.

I also use the TomTom Rider 550 which comes with a mount and everything needed to hard wire to the bike. It was simple to install and easy to use.

In the end I opted for a Garmin Zumo 396 (£299) and a SW-Mototech Mount (£58).
The positive features of the Garmin are connectivity with your phone and headset, it’s wifi enabled so you don’t need to connect it to a laptop to upload updates, the updates are free for life and it’s route planning options are good.
The negatives surround the mounting and plugging it in. I had hoped to use the lighter socket in the fairing as the power source (easy!) but the Garmin mount blocks off the USB port at the satnav end. I ended up hard wiring it to the battery and it’s neat enough although removing the bodywork isn’t the easiest task.
Anyway. I’m now all ready to go exploring a bit.
