After some personal debate....and debate on this forum, I've decided I am buying a Nitron shock. That decision is made.
But I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not it's worth the extra money for the additional adjustability of the R2 or R3.
If I am able to set the bike up properly with the R1, compression and damping tied together.....wouldn't that mean the R2 and R3 are unnecessary? Who has experience with these shocks? Any suggestions? No matter what, I don't plan to buy the hydraulic preload adjuster. I just don't need it.
Any impressions would be appreciated.

I would go middle ground with the R2. R3 is over kill and tbh unless you know what your doing R2 May confuse. I have a ktech pro and it’s over kill. Cheers

I also have a K-Tech DDS but it's the Lite with R&C which usually costs £899 but I got it on here for around half price with minimal miles on it.

But the dealer offered me a deal on the R3 for only $50 more than the R2. So, it’s almost a no-brainer. Either R1 or R3. Just can’t decide if the adjustability is necessary or not.

What’s the price difference between the R1 and R3?

I would go R1 and spend the 250 on another up grade exhaust/Brembo mc. Once you have it set up I never touch mine again so it’s wasted on me really.
Unless you like bling factor which I do as well?😁

Unless you spend 90% of you're riding on the track i'd go for the cheaper R1. It will no doubt be a significant upgrade over the standard rear shock. Then spend saved cash else where, like some new pads to improve brakes or remove the progressive fork springs for linear springs up front.

Thought they were linear as standard?

Thought they were linear as standard? Standard fork springs on the MT 10 are progressive springs. See the link to the Dave Moss video.

R3 has a true remote reservoir the R1 does not. I was lucky to get a secondhand R3. R2 be grand. R3 is not overkill if fast and comfy on bumpy roads and adjustable for trips are your games.
