Couldn’t find anyone up for a run this morning so popped out on my own, left home, headed towards Brecon/Llandovery via the A4107 over the Bwlch mountain, through Treorchy, over the Rhigos mountain and past Tower Colliery, left to Glyneath, over the next mountain to Abercraf, on to the Brecon Beacons, past Crai Reservoir and on to Brecon. Back down the A470 to the Storey Arms where there were a lot of parked cars as they were doing the Fan Dance over Pen-Y-Fan, then turned off the 470 on to the A4059 (where I took the following photo) which drops you into Penderyn where they make the famous Welsh whisky then on to Aberdare, back over the Rhigos mountain, over the Bwlch mountain then back on to my local roads back home. Round trip of 101 miles and exactly 1 full tank of petrol. Excuse the MacDonald wrappers in the foreground where some lazy tw@ts couldn’t take home their rubbish!
