Good evening everyone. I’ve owned my 2017 MT-10 for a year and have recently fitted an Akropovic silencer and Remus de-cat pipe. What’s everyone’s views on which is better and why? I was originally thinking PWR Cmdr and re-map on the Dyno, as if I had to refit the Cat for the MOT, I could unplug and run the standard ECU. That is the theory anyway. What’s everyone’s opinion?

You’re safer running rich than lean which is usually the case from the factory so just running the cat to the mot shouldn’t be a biggie. Power Cmdr has less resolution than either Bazzaz or a remap as PC only has mapping options for every 500 revs as opposed to 250 so the map will be less accurate on a PC, Also to fully map a PC you’d need an extra module for injectors 5-8, a remap will allow the throttle map to be adjusted for 1:1, a Woolich map will give you access to the race tools package including pit lane limiter etc, gear blipper can added for downshifts if you purchase the hardware.

Thanks for the info. That makes the decision much easier now and I have two places near to where I live: S-Tec Performance in Newbury and JHS Racing in Bristol, so will look at getting it Flashed 👍🏼.

Also to fully map a PC you’d need an extra module for injectors 5-8 Isn´t the secundary injectors only on the R1? I thought the MT10 used only one but bigger injector per throttlebody...!?

Ok I stand corrected but I am generalising pros and cons. I wasn’t sure on the MT10 set up but pretty much every new Superbike in the last years has since my old K5.
