Could all those with after market shocks please tell me what spring rate they used and weight if there not too embarrassed. Looking to respring to my weight but believe I have been quoted the wrong rate, just wondered if the design of the MT or shock means it doesn’t need as firm a spring. Cheers in advance.

Kitted I’d be 100kg and that’s what my Nitron shock is spung for but I’ve no Idea on what actual spring rate is used.
Hmm, problem is the stock shocks damping is weak in both compression and rebound.
Therefore fitting on a stronger firmer spring can show up to amplify the shock rebound damping weakness more and rebound damping adjustment will not be effective. This is what others from original forum found to be the case. Sorry for bubble bursting, lol., but truth is da truth.

^ 575 lbs (that’s for a 100 kg rider on Nitron R3 Shock)
(edit) I wonder what the stock Yam spring rate is.
Tho as said a stronger spring fitted on the stock shock may show up the stock shocks weak rebound damping inadequacy even more.
The only Real cure is a better Shock.

On the American site it says the rear spring is 475 lb.

On the American site it says the rear spring is 475 lb. There we are (my spring) is a full 100 lb up on the stock one. The rebound damping of the stock stuggles even to control 475 lb recoils. Therefore a 575 lb spring will definitely rebound more uncontrolled and quickly.
