changed the rear S20 yesterday for a S21, front is still OK, 2600 miles on cold damp roads, i expected it to last a little more than that seeing as not exactly a lot of heat put through the tyre, i did see on here that people only got similar mileage, but thought it was probably summer pushing to the limits miles. 1 mm left in the centre so it was down to the limit.
Looking forward to some good weather with a new tyre, bought my 10 in mid October so i don't think i have rode it with out at least damp patches to watch out for.

Normal enough mileage wear. Weather difference may not matter as cold or wet can mean more micro sliding / scrubbing which wears the tyre. S21 above the same but as no engine running in it may go sooner, but S21 have better feel and are an improvement.

Well, you don't have to fit tyres that wear out in 2,600 miles, my rear Avon 3D Ultra Sport has done just over 2,000 miles including a trackday and still has plenty of tread (in fact tread depth still looks like new). Best thing is a SET costs £155 from mandp or £168 from FWR. Attachment Deleted

2300 miles on my S20 rear and 5300 on the front... Both are fine..... First one was a part worn with 1700 miles on it at the time of fitting (dealer tried to sell the bike with a bald rear which I didn't appreciate)
