Hey guys So thinking of decating the MT to get it louder than stock, but not stupid loud, so thinking of getting the Leo vince decat pipe with inline baffle, and using my arrow gp2 end can with baffle in, figured that's as quiet as I possibly can do on a decat system apart from mega expensive one with the EXUP valve that I forgot it's name. I've also read about getting an AIS block off kit to apparently stop it coughing and spluttering. And since I'd be in the air box for that, I'm thinking about getting a k&n high flow air filter too. In terms of remapping, would I need to do all of that stuff for the remap, or can they effectively switch off the AIS instead of removing it completely? Also for the people who have had their ECUs flashed with Woolwich race tools, is it possible to flash each power mode differently? For example could I have mode 3 set up for mileage with emphasis on increased fuel economy, mode 2 left as is, and then the top mode set up for stupid fun mode? Cheers in advance guys, Tom. 🤘

Have a word with Simon at S-tec he will give you the options on what can be done,he is a expert on the mt range and has lots of data on MT 10s and can do you a bespoke dyno set up with custom maps

I just install Ftecu ActiveTune. The question is what map to choose for start: I have full Akrapovic, BMC filter, exup valve remove, block ais..
Thanks

Cheers in advance guys, Tom. 🤘 Hi - The Woolich SW can disable the AIS with out the need to remove it but they still recommend using the block offs. (they are pretty cheap. Smart moto for example) There is a great youtube video to show you how to do it if you want to try it yourself. The modes STD/A/B are ETV maps. (electronic throttle valve). They map the physical throttle position to actual throttle position for a given RPM etc.. So for example you turn the throttle to 100% but the engine is at 2000 rpm so the ECU gives you 18% throttle. (the actual throttle is controlled by the ECU using an electric motor.) For the MT-10 the main reason to tune you bike is to adjust these Maps in my opinion. There is only 1 fuel map so fuel consumption will probably get worse if you decat. My tuner added about 5-6% more fuel across large parts of the map. Improving the B ETV map was the most useful work my tuner did. He smoothed out the low rpm response by making adjustments to the B mode ETV map and now I just use that all the time. The other modes just reduce the throttle opening at mid / higher RPM to give the impression of reduced power.
