I think that these new Power RS could be my next tyres; in another 500 miles time. mt10forum.com/threads/1517-New-Michelin-Power-RS?p=28535#post28535I'm very happy with the Bridgestone S21's, I get 2500 miles rear 5000 miles front. However, tyre wear does not worry me. So as I what to try out a different tyre this time I think these RS sound like they are right up my street. I'll report next month on what I get on.

Thinking about these next round as well but I have a good bit of miles left on the S21's I put on the new wheels.
I will have the girlfriend check pricing on these when the time comes. It is handing having her working at a motorcycle tire distributor. LOL She gets the tires at cost plus 1%

^ Nice one Bogie, gee I'd be nice to her, lol. That good to know it will be interesting to see comparison prices between S21 and these Power RS. Think I saw RS £280 a set with £30 voucher back. I'd say I'm 500 miles from changing. Cheers.

I will have to have her check on prices on the RS. I paid $215 USD for the set of S21's

As I went on a trip to Spain last year; I ended up getting good Sport Touring Pirelli Angel GT tyres (see threads elsewhere here). However, I would still be interested to hear about these new Michelin Power RS on a 10. They could still be an great option.

A friend of mine put these (Mich RSs) on his GSXR750K4, he then high-sided at Silverstone, the session before on the same corner I had the rear spin up at 90+ mph (Busa on Dunlop Q3s) but was in quite a tall gear so was able to save it, the fact we both had an issue might desolve responsibility for the tyres, but sticky Michelins of old had a bad rep for hanging on then letting go spectacularly! I did consider these for my MT-10 but decided against in the end - no proof of any issue with the tyres but my mates issue did shake my confidence in them!

Here's a picture I took after the highside, as you can see from the witness marks, he was on the fat part of the tyre - not the edge. We checked the pressures after each session and they were perfect (28psi cold, 32 hot) which you can see from the lack of any cold or hot tearing.

Here's the session before my mate crashed on his Michelin RSs, exactly the same corner - exactly the same issue - only I was lucky enough to stay on!
I doubt it was the tyres' fault - I still reckon there was something on the track.

I'm sure the RSs are fine, I very nearly had the same accident as you can see from the vid - and I have no visible chicken strips so was cranking it a bit more than him on certain parts of the track. There must have been something on the track because in my example in the vid I was gently leaning on the throttle in fourth - not particularly cranked as I was hanging off enough to get my knee down. I've done that corner on less sticky rubber much faster in the past and had no problems before.

I did it... I went with getting me 2 new Michelin Power RS. Wow. Ok, I know, I’m going from my worn out Sports Touring Pirelli Angel GT back to Sports tyres. However, as I been through a lot of Bridgestone’s S21, I can genuinely say that these Power RS are good. Initial impressions are the sharper profile / better steering, the nice cushioning comfort over bumps and then as the skin scrubs-off is the good grip; which is an impressively sure footed much better grip boots. Though all this is from a single 60 mile riden; that on I picked up nail in the rear that hisses when touched. So no more ridding today . I am glad I got these Michelin’s RS as they perform and feel brilliant. Even riding along in the village Main Street / town you know that you are ridding along on 2 quality rubber hoops 😁
