Just fitted new HEL brake lines, asked at my local YAMAHA dealer they wanted between £150 £220 to bleed brakes. Wow so i brought a oil remover kit from my local tool store (SILVERLINE) plastic pipe supplied is to big so i pushed a smaller bore piece of pipe inside the pipe supplied with the pump and pulled the fluid through starting with left side front calliper. No problems with ABS , and i did put on the full 7piece kit. Fitting the kit does require removing fuel tank and dropping radiator.

Yes, I bled mine with a mityvac - didn't get any aggro from the ABS system. Surprised how crappy the fluid looked for such a new bike!

I'm interested in this remover kit you bought Chris after hearing mixed reports of bleeding taking ages and trouble getting air out of the ABS module.

Hey up mate i brought mine local but they are on ebay starting at £6.50 item number 401441997925 looks same quality . you will need a smaller bore pipe to slide inside pipe supplied because bore to big for nipple , You don't actually get air into ABS module because it isn't activated, yes fuel tank and dropping the rad is needed unless you have baby like hands. another tip leave tank off till you have bled brakes just incase you have a leak on any of the 2 connections under tank. You will do it mate .
