I was wondering what circuits are actually powered up in "park" other than the hazard lights. If the answer is "nothing" then I'm tempted to hook a cigerette lighter jack to my battery tender to maintain my battery via the aux socket. Obviously I wouldn't want to charge a flat battery like that (too many amps drawn) but just maintaining a healthy battery should be fine. Any thoughts on the matter?

Why not just connect your battery tender direct to the battery via the usual connector?
I have one tucked away behind the right rearset with a cap on it.

Bad idea , bike got a canbus system Connect direct to the battery , or even better , take the battery off

Surely park won't power up the canbus and associated electronics? That would be madness!

I didn't want another bunch of connectors hanging off the battery terminals. I might just replace the aux socket with a directly wired one (fused of course) and then wire a standard aux power jack up to one of my battery tenders. Pull up and plug in without flaffing around hunting down a little terminal connector poking out somewhere.

Mines out from under the seat as shown. Can hardly notice it. Tie wrapped the lead under the plastic cowling to stop it moving or being pulled out.
