Managed to dismantle the bike enough to get the rear shock out and have sent it away to the boys at MCT suspension. I'm 110 kgs with full kit and am finding it harsh over bumps so looking forward to seeing what they can do. Hopefully get it back and fitted later this week. Much cheaper than a bling shock getting the oe rebuilt

I first used MCT back in the early 2000s - Darren and his crew are the best in the business - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Pretty much any cash you throw at suspension and brakes inproves a bike. Never stuck with the stock suspension, nor brakes on most of my past bikes, decent suspension improves 'em all.

I found the bike has gone from harsh to firm, the oe was causing pain at the base of my neck when it was hitting bumps, no good. Seems to wheelie less as well but Darren did say it would be less susceptible to them imo definitely worth the money 👍 looks nice with the yellow spring as well

I had a Nitron on my Busa - fantastic value - it was only about £500 if I remember rightly. Top quality suspension at mid-range prices.
I must say (so far) I've not found fault with the stock suspension on the MT10 - perhaps I just haven't ridden enough modern bikes but the suspension feels amazingly good to me. Totally planted and well controlled without knocking my teeth out over every bump.

A lot depends on your weight, if you are around 150 to 165 pounds, then the MT suspension is not bad, if you are around 190 to 210, or above (which I am 215lbs kitted out), then the standard setup is left wanting. On the old forum Nick Stohl (Stoltec.com) did an exhaustive set of tests on the suspension and subsequently came up with upgrades. For me, I went with my local guys Maxton, I have had their suspension bits on a few of my past and present bikes and they always come up trumps. The front forks have been revalved and sprung for my weight and I have replaced the rear shock with one of their GP10 units, again sprung for my weight. I have managed to get a run out the other day to try it out, its like riding a different bike, no harshness, no wallowing, just much better handling in corners, soaks up bumps better, just better all round. What made me go to Maxton, they are local to me (10 min ride or drive), I can go back and they will adjust it for me FOC. Also, second hand shocks for the MT are like hens teeth and nitron, k-tech, Ohlins are all similar priced new as Maxton kit is. If you feel your present setup is fine, then at least get it set up by an expert, it costs about £40, probably the best £40 you will spend on your bike.

They've done the last 3 of my bikes so I know I'm getting good service and value for money 👍 What is the cost? With me removing the shock and refitting myself it cost around £270 although I'll check that
