I have just fitted on a set of Pirelli Angel GT tyres. I've 400 miles done on them. I like them. They are great. I'd guess the rear may last me at least 4000 to 5000 miles of Sporting on and a few trips etc. They might even do over 5k if I go easier on them.
I've had 4 off rear Bridgestone Battlax S20/S21 sport tyres on and 2 of the fronts on over the past 10000 miles So these Pirelli's are the first sports-touring tyres that I've had on the MT-10. I though I'd miss the super sticky sports rubber of the S21 tho when I pushed the Angel GT on I found that they are grand. The rear will / should I guess last me a few thousand miles or more the average 2400 miles or so I was getting from Bridgestone S21rear Battlax.
The Pirelli's are light weight tyre and that helps the suspension, so they say, but that does seem the case. They soak up rough road ripples quite well too.
So there you are now.

Nice one. What pressures are you running? The recommended 42psi on the rear seems very high.

It was only one set DM but there are several sets of the Angel ST at 160 a pair. I believe these were the forerunner to the GT but still get great mileage and good reviews. I am looking at buying a set

How the hell did you make the rear last 2,250 ish miles on an S20!? I've been through 2 rears in 2400ish miles... Thinking about fitting a set of Metzeler M5s... £238 fitted though seems alot though

If you are chewing them up that quickly theres some Avon supersports on eBay for £150 a pair, worth a try? Or the Metzeler Z8 is a great tyre and will outlast the M5 easily.
EDIT the Avon's are Ultra Sports, and have come down about £5....

Will take a look thanks I got Avon 3D Ultra Sports on my MT10 at the moment, very impressed so far, superb in the wet/slush/snow lately, very fast warm up, no perceptible wear after 2,000 miles. Not used 'em on a track yet so don't know about ultimate grip - an excellent road tyre though - and remarkable value too.
