I noticed your unique speedo hiding tool ( ) the last time you posted. I did a video the other day and actually noticed in my video that there was NO WAY I could post it anywhere due to the blatantly obvious speedo, so tried to hide it with a bit of software called Blur Video Spot, but it was a LOT of work so I abandoned it and because the camera isn't static it was basically impossible.

I still need new tyres. Despite some comments above mc garage reckons most people are fine on sports tourer tyres? I do want good longevity.

I am not trying to influence anyone; I am sharing what works for me at the moment.... 'Most' don't need 1000 cc bike either, lol, but we like the best, so... 'Most' people yeah. I'm not most, well not yet anyhow. You'd be fine with sports touring. I'm for track days next year, make my decisions based on intuition and experience and trying new stuff and I'm not concerned on mc garage, fashion or longevity at home when not away on a trip. Off camera I use the bike's potential, on occasions. Wonder why do these bikes not come with sports touring tyres, well as its not really a sports tourer. It can tour and it can track day. Hence if used in a super sporty way then i feel Sports tyres suit the sporty bike best, especially in certain places. But Pirelli Angel GT were fine for a trip away until the profile of sides of the front worn off mine. I'm happy with having sports rubber on my blast it about for fun toy when at home.

If the answer is "no" then you're wasting your money buying sports rubber (unless they are cheap of course!), modern sport touring tyres are extremely grippy in all weathers and will handle the occasional track-day. We are spoiled for choice with sport touring tyres these days, these are the current top of the pile (in no particular order): Michelin Pilot Road 5, Metzler Roadtec 01, Avon Spirit ST, Bridgestone T31 - I'm sure any of them will suit you fine.
Modern sport touring tyre have as much grip as full-on sports tyres 10-15 years ago, but with astonishing grip in the wet as well.

You're pretty far from the edge of the tyre, I'd say you'd be burning cash needlessly with sports rubber, not that you can't get to the edge with sport touring rubber, you can! Your shop is giving you good advice - IMHO you don't need sports tyres - nor do most people if the truth be told. If I only rode on the road I'd run sport touring rubber as well, but I do quite a few trackdays, so I like the additional insurance of that last 10% of ultimate grip.

I assume you have the stock Bridgestone S20s? is the front worn? I suspect not. You could just stick a Bridgestone Evo T30 or T31 on the rear and keep your current front tyre until it's worn. You can get a rear T30 (the generation older tyre) for £128 www.fwr.co.uk/product/bridgestone-t30 Sport and sport touring rubber from the same manufacturer will mix fine - but have the stickiest (sport tyre) on the front. On my Busa I usually ran a sport touring rear and sport front.

Geoff’s honesty is great.
What a great first big bike to have.
Try the DMs T31 or if a bargain is not the main driver Pilot Road 5 or what I might tour on next Metzler Roadtec 01. There is a nice Continental too. All out there. Yep Sports front Sport Tourer rear kind of last the same time / distance. S21 front bit better than original S20.
Pirelli Angel GT light weight helps suspension movement.
