I booked the evening for only £55 having never done an evening session before. I’ve done lots of track days juring the day but the evening sessions are run slightly different only having 2 groups, a novice group then inters/fast mixed together. First of all because it was only 2 groups running we got 6 20 minute sessions! Great value imo! I usually run in the intermediate group & probably sit bang in the middle of that group/pace. To be honest it was more race bikes than anything else, with only one or two other road bikes that I could see. It’s been a little while since I’ve done a track day & I’ve not done one on the mt so it took me a couple of sessions to get up to speed. After a couple of sessions I was noticing the traction cutting in so ended up switching it completely off. The SBS brake pads held up to the abuse too although I’m not the last of the late brakers! The only thing I did notice with the brakes was an inconsistency in the brake lever which I put down to the abs. Tyre wise, I used Bridgestone S22s with no warmers & I must say I was more than impressed with both grip & feel especially from the front! Attachments:
