Can any one help please. My clutch casing/cover got damaged (don't ask how), l got a replacement new one, fitted the two new bearings to it and the bottom seal, my main problem is, how do l get the cover on to engage the clutch rod, also what position should l have the clutch arm in for it to engage the clutch rod, l have tried several times to get it to go together, but the rod and the gear in the caseing just do not want to mesh together, I'm normally pretty good at this sort of thing, BUT l am loosing the will to live, thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this, have looked at a few YouTube videos, but none of them are really useful.

I resolved this in the end, the clutch actuator rod is wobbly and likes to rotate as you slide the engine casing back on, what l did was get a piece of electrical wire, thin guage, bare 30mm of it and twist it around the rod, l then fed this wire through the oil fill hole in the casing and very carefully aligned the casing on the two dowel pins, before pushing the casing fully home, l gave the wire a sharp pull and where l had twisted it, the wire came off the rod, before pushing the casing fully home, you can counter clockwise rotate your clutch arm (unclip the return spring) to get the correct orientation of the arm itself, there is a mark on the casing, one tooth too much to the left and your clutch cable will bind in the bit where it clips in, no matter how many videos l watched, none of them showed the important bit of getting it all aligned. This morning l am going to fire her up and hopefully the above process has got my clutch back to fully functioning!!!

Update, bike runs, clutch works as it did previously, someone else may do this job and it takes them 20 mins, l thought l was pretty good at taking things to pieces and putting them back together, it was more of a Krypton Factor challenge.
