Hi All Anyone had their bike tuned on a chassis Dyno? I had my bike done on a Dynapack dyno. (rear wheel off and bolted up to an adapter.) Apparently its more common for cars? Anyway if you can see the image then you will know the numbers are quite different. The tuner said that 20% should be subtracted to allow for the wheel and tyre losses on a rolling road dyno but the numbers are still very high. Attachments:

IMHO unless you're running a tuned R1 motor those bhp figures are nonsense, usual "rolling road" dyno losses are around 10%.

I didn't have a lot of choices where I am for tuning. I didn't really like the idea of using a chassis dyno but the results are good in practice. Certainly did the job. The place in question uses the Woolich software so all the usual tweaks. I should say I don't have a tuned R1 motor! This was for a decat. Assuming it's making about 150ish at the wheel anymore than that would be unmanageable!. It's a wheel stand fest anytime you give 100% throttle below 100kmph. I paid to get the Woolich cable / logbox so I can copy the fuel map + ETV maps off. I don't want to mess around with it but woolich let me buy it at good price incremental to the bike side harness and the license the tuner used gets transferred to me. I was pleased with how accommodating Woolich were. I guess what they are selling will be free in the future.
