Morning all
Took the bike over to Simon Taylor at S-Tec Performance for the ECU flash, to be honest I could wirte an essay on this and still wouldn't be able to get across just how good he is, and how much better the bike is.
As said before I have the SP Engineering set up decat and can, after the first run on the dyno to say it was running lean is the understatement of the year, if I hadn't had this done I would'nt have known and we all know the outcome of running lean for long periods.
Simon set to work sorting the fuelling which to some time and lot of know how, luckily he has this in heaps, he carefully sorted it out whilst keeping me informed on the runs data and the progression being made after each run, trust me this is no rush job, he works tirelessly to get your bike the best it can be within safe zones.
Simon comes from a racing background therefore knows what he's talking about and what he's doing, plus he's an allround top bloke to spend time with I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of getting this work done. I would definitley say if you have changed your system and been told by the supplier that's all okay and you don't need to any other work to fuelling, ignore them and get it over to Simon especially if you have the SP set up, you'll be amzed at how lean these are running.
90 mile run home after the set up and all I can say is wow, jerkiness gone at low speed, bike is smoother and with another twist just hang on, it builds power quicker and really takes off with no let up, in fact it's like having another bike, after my initial excitement of having it perform like this, and as much as I wanted to let her go off every turn I had to calm down as it was wet and once again raining, I can't actualy wait for the drier days now.
I will try and upload the data for you by close of play today, but we hit 158.98 at the wheel.Attachment Deleted
