I have been doing a bit of research into how the MT-10 and 15+ R1 engines compare to each other. BSD have remapped both MT-10 and a 15 model R1 using the Woolich software. I asked and they were kind enough to overlay the two graphs so I could compare both power and torque curves. What can be seen is the mid range grunt of the MT-10 and the R1 lagging behind until 8000rpm. At about 9500rpm the MT-10 starts to tail off and the R1 gets into its zone until its peaks around 13800rpm. R1 has a lighter crank, Ti rods, lighter flywheel, higher CR, different combustion chambers, lighter valves ( higher rpm ), different valve springs, different porting, smaller airbox, dual injectors on each throttle body and different cams to the MT10. Cheers 👍
