Having had the same issues as others with the DC Power outlet shaking any USB chargers loose I have replaced the entire socket with a dual USB socket. The whole lot cost me £8.55 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152560529503You need to remove the plastic panel that houses the DC socket to do this. Whole process took about an hour. Remove two plastic pop faster things on the rear of this panel. These are hidden so you need to rummage. These hold the fake air scoop cowling in place. Remove the fake air scoop cowling and then the big side bit with the Yamaha logo on. This is clipped in and secured with two Allen bolts. All visible. This gives you access a bolt that holds the DC panel in place which can be removed after the other Allen bolts have been taken out. I needed to make the panel hole a tiny bit bigger so used a deburring tool. Centre is always +ve on a cigarette lighter socket which is the yellow and brown wire. It's connected under the rubber boot. Unplug it and cut it about 4 inches away. Cut the plug off the new USB socket right at the end. Then strip back and crimp fasteners or join as you see fit. I used bullet crimps so i can refit etc if needed. Join the new USB lead to the old connected and fit replacing the boot. I wrapped my joints in electrical tape to add some weather proofing. Refit in reverse. You'll see I have the obligatory left over bolt too! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

Nice job, did you stick with the 2A fuse or upgrade?

I followed the video below from Richie. Did not change the fuse and just replaced the USB socket.
