I still take pictures to preserve the memory associated with these things. I believe that throwing away physical objects does not mean losing memory. As long as you have photos, you can relive the experience anytime. So if you feel like you can't let go of a picture your child drew in elementary school, a souvenir from a trip, or someone else's gift, just snap a photo of these items so you can throw them away more easily. From my own experience, I can say that it is very unlikely that you will actually go back to looking at pictures.
I have taken thousands of photos myself, and I could not have taken them without C Level Contact List them. But is important. When I do this, I know it will mean that I become more present-focused. I hope one day I don't hesitate to start throwing away things I don't need, but until that day comes, I'll probably keep photographing them. This will mean I become more present moment focused. It is easier to recall memories with digitization I'm a film photographer, so it's hard to tell how much I spend on developing film and printing prints. I carry my favorite camera with me in my bag, I love taking pictures, but I'm not and that would mean I become more present-focused.
