Hi All, Bought a MT10 SP, finally Its has the cat and exup removed with a link pipe to the standard end can, setup by S-Tec. I rode it about 90 miles, and it doesn't seem to pick up well from low revs and doesn't sound great and is a bit loud! Runs fine from 4/5000 revs, just lower down the rev range I wasn't overly impressed. This compared to my 20 year old gen 1 Fazer. I have the dyno curves but they don't start until 4000rpm. Is this a normal trade off for removing the cat/Exup, any comments appreciated please. Baz

Baz, my 1st MT10 had a decat and valve removed, ECU flashed too, the pick up was awesome, the bike will be LOUD with a the decat as most of the silencing is done by the cat, not had it done to the new one yet. But doesnt sound like yours is as it should be, the take off should be smooth and quick, and will obviously pick up as the revs rise, the throttle connection on my old one was super smooth, i assume its been flashed by STec? Maybe worth a word with them about the flash?
