Hi all just like to say hi and thanks for letting me join this forum.
I purchased a MT10sp in September and love it.
A bit about me ive been riding since i was 14 an dim the wrong side of 50 now.
Ive had a string of different bikes, i love R1s and Yammys in general. The first time i saw the Mt i thought i want one, if i had ridden one i would have had the MT a lot sooner.
I also own a FJR for me and my other half - ive owned that 13 years from new, its a minter.
Got my ACU some years ago but raing proved to be too expensive but loved it whilst it lasted.
Im in no rush to modify the MT at the moment, maybe when ive put some miles on it ill have a better idea.
Look forward to getting input and learning more about the MT.

Hey Polar, welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the bike, i do, i reckon its one of the most fun bikes around for now. Only thing thats likely to tempt me away is an adventure bike, Africa Twin or Multistrada, other than that the MT is a keeper.

Only thing thats likely to tempt me away is an adventure bike, Africa Twin or Multistrada, other than that the MT is a keeper. I tend to keep my bikes quite a bit but yes i can understand the Africa Twin being on anyone's list. But i have the FJR for taking the other half out on and i would not want to take a get bike like the Africa twin off road. Do you think you would be happy with the loss of power? Won't do Ducati again, ill say Jap and especially Yammy i do like Yamaha stuff. Thanks for the reply NSR500

I like the riding position on a big adventure bike, especially after a few injuries picked up over the years, so the AT is on the list, i will need to test the AT to see if i can live with the 100hp or not. I did get on well with the Multi, great bike to ride fast and comfortable too, i do prefer Jap bikes though, mainly for the reliability side, not that i had any issues with the Duc over the 18 months i had it, but its always in the back of your mind that IF it goes pop its going to be expensive!!

Welcome, magic MT engine is a jewel, gets better with more miles to. Thanks for the reply - only done 600 miles so far, had it at the end of the summer so not had chance. But i love the engine its amazing, to me bikes are all about the engine and that makes the MT10 really special just like the R1. Im a retired motor vehicle engineer by trade and started life on the tools but on the trucks not bikes, bikes are my passion. That is why i like Yams and as soon as the MT10 came out i wanted one but better late than never to the party.

Get some pics up Mark, we all love pics. Nice to see you on here. I’ll have to pop over the tge R1 forum, good bunch of helpful guys over there. Pretty much like here although this place is a little quieter. Not been on here for a little while as I’ve been busy. Pretty much finished my garage for now other than a little epoxy floor paint and a little personalisation. More on that once it’s ready! imgur.com/gallery/StZM3v9

Looks stunning. Always liked the Akra. You need a set of R1M Ti headers next so they go all blue and purple when it gets hot!

I’m living on a barge called Seafox4 as we rip out and replace a load of stuff to automate an unmanned platform alongside then commission and hand back the rig to Shell upon completion. It’s ok work and affords me a few toys.
