I’d like a better initial bite from the front brakes on my MT. I do most of my miles on road, and a few track days a year.
After hearing how the Brembo pads on BJ’s (from Fast Bikes) MT-10 transformed it, I’d like to try some pads.
He said the pads were Brembo Road and Track pads from HPS, so I assume he means the SC Sintered pads.
Has anyone got any good experiences with any other pads, or with these ones?
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

Brenta Sintered are decent, using them myself as a trial run... They're not as sharp as the brembo parts I had in my Ducati but that possibly down to a full brembo set up with braided lines and RCS master cylinder Vs stock yam brakes with Brenta pads.
The Brenta parts bite hard enough to generate a fair whack of dive on initial bite though.
There is a thread already in general chat with more than a few pad tests and reviews in there

Hi Fuzzy,
Thanks for your reply. I did find the other thread after making this.
I’ve used older generation Brembo OE pads in Brembo calipers before, SBS sintered Road/Track pads and EBC HH’s.
I found them all to have pretty equivalent performance, but did find the EBC’s were hard on discs, and also left a spotted residue on the discs following hard use on track days. This gave rise to some judder and needed the discs sanding down by hand to remove the deposits.
It may well be because I used those pads a lot harder than the others, but given the comments about disc wear in the other thread, I decided the additional £26 to get the Brembo’s (SC Road and Tracks) over the EBC’s was worth it, given the Brembo’s are highly regarded and tried and tested by quite a few others!
I’ll let you know how I get on!
Thanks,
Dan.

Dan, even the SA (road) Brembo Sintered pads are way better than the crap wooden stock pads.

Last update regarding the Sintered Brenta pads 3000 miles on the Brenta parts... Wear levels seem OK... Definitely not as hard as OE or Brembo.. comparable to Nissin and EBC though. Just tested the brakes unintentionally thanks to blondie in a 4x4 at 40mph and I'm happy to say that with the anchors on full the rear lift prevention works quite well and the pads are arguably the best I've used all-round. Initial bite has come on much stronger, extremely linear, predictable and the stopping power is excellent. Think I've found my new favourite road baised pads. Saved my ass big time. Yes the Brembo SA/LA offer a little more initial bite, yes theyll last longer but it doesn't warrant being twice the price. As others have rightly said though its not an advanced modification

Hope that the Blonde ^ was, at least, real good looking.
That is no compensation for wide eyed hard on brakes moment though.
Though a neck rub from her especialy if her body was goddess like may help, works for me, lol.
Seriously, glad nothing dented...
Good info. My front Brembo Road pads are grand and with over 11000 miles on them and not much wear on them and I use them. So your comments / post interesting.
Oh post shaking fist at Blondes usually has no affect / effect. 😁 😎

Had that before too and no I'm not kidding lol... Norfolk/Cambridgeshire riding is like a a round of Russian roulette. Nothing dented, nothing broken though it would've gotten me out of work for a few weeks hahaha

I have just gone for the Brembo SA. It sure is an improvement. Especially the initial bite is much better. So for now the radial Brembo is on hold :-)
